I was not really into the cartoon series but this movie got to me. Set in a world where the cars in the Grand Prix are super modified with gadgets such as bouncing the car into a somersault,protection against bullets and a few more gadgets I would love to have in my car!

| Mach 5 in Action in the Rally Race |
The story revolves around Speed racer and his family. He lost his brother years ago to the Crucible Cross Country Rally,a deadly tournament where rules are followed by the racers or at least pretended to be followed by the racers. Death traps,hammers,bees,snakes,etc are one of the deadly evils one might come across here.Speed joins this rally with Racer X(A mysterious super racer with his identity hidden ) and Taejo in the hopes to change the racing world which has been infested with people who rig races and cheat. His dreams of competing in the Grand Prix also seems to be short lived since he rejected the offer made by Royalty industries( a Huge company hell bent on signing speed as their racer,he refuses because its evil and a bad corporation)which makes him their enemy. They are hell bent on destroying him and keep him away from the win.
His only support is his family who help him in making his Super Awesome Mach 5.

The rally race is brilliant,colors never seemed to beautiful, ha ha.
The comic relief surprisingly is in the small package of Spritle(Paulie Litt) & Chim Chim(the cute little chimp),these two are hilarious and something to look out for!

His love interest Trixie(Christina Ricci) is cute,hot and adventurous all in one package. Adventurous why you ask? Watch the movie you will understand. I would give this movie a 6 out of 10. So watch it on a lazy afternoon and relax.
